Read a booking once more before confirming
Dates, room, inclusions and terms: an orderly comparison prevents crossed expectations.

Compare like with like
Two offers with similar photographs may refer to different rooms or services. Note the dates, number of guests, exact room category and included meals. Only then compare the total. An apparently cheaper rate may require additions for things you had already imagined were included.
For a wellness stay, separate the overnight booking, spa admission and treatments. Check the length of admission, whether a time slot must be reserved and the conditions for each guest. Do not rely on the package name: useful information sits in the selected rate’s details rather than the pool photograph.
Read the operational details
Find the deadline for any changes or cancellation and the stated method for requesting them. Check the full date and time rather than inferring them from a brief word such as flexible. If something is ambiguous, ask before confirming and keep the answer with the offer details.
Check when payment is expected and how confirmation will reach you. Special requests, such as nearby rooms or a particular outlook, are not necessarily guaranteed services. Distinguish what you are buying from what you have simply listed as a preference.
Make a short reference note
After booking, gather the reference, address, contact details and arrival instructions in one place available offline. Compare the confirmation with what you selected. Flagging a discrepancy promptly is easier than discovering it at reception, when the day’s plans are already under way and your options may be less convenient.
For a group booking, share the same confirmation version with everyone. Separate summaries in chat messages can leave someone with an old time or information about services that were discussed but never actually booked.
Compare the rate details, then keep the confirmation in an easily accessible form.
